Annual Trip to the Farm

For 30 years, GMS has made it an annual tradition to visit the Potomac Vegetable Farms — a real working farm! Each fall, this field trip includes a tour of the farm, vegetable gardens, and interaction with the farm animals. It is a wonderful way for the children to learn about where our food comes from and an opportunity to instill the love and respect for nature that is a hallmark of Montessori philosophy. Parents are included in this trip and it is a wonderful way to connect with other parents at GMS.
