Birthdays at GMS

We love birthdays at GMS! In a Montessori classroom, birthdays are celebrated by honoring each year of a child’s life through the “Walk Around the Sun.” This tradition not only honors a particular child on their birthday, but also encourages children to understand how the months in a year relate to the four different seasons.
